A Friendship So Dear

 

Friendships come and friendships go,

But this friendship I hope will grow.

 

I can't help wonder what's in store.

The years to come will help keep score.

 

Like soul mates I feel life sends fate,

To lead us to our friend soul mate.

 

I hope we never lose touch of each other,

This friendship is not like any other.

 

So lets hold it close and take great care,

This friendship is a gift, one we both share.

 

My dear friend I love you and hold you so close,

This friendship is important to me as God only knows.

If you're interested in writing your own poem, its not as hard as it may look.  Anyone can write a poem if they have a subject in mind.  And writing about friends is a great subject.  All you need are some ideas of what you want to write about.  A poem doesn't have to be rhyming, it just should flow nicely.  The most important thing is that it makes sense.  Using analogies is also a nice addition to any poem.  You can find them in many quotes and poems.  If you're not sure, you can read through some sayings and verses to help you come up with some ideas.  Then you can use your own life experiences with your friends or if you are writing a poem for someone, use personal information that will personalize the poem.  If you decide you want the poem to rhyme, there are some great rhyming resources on the internet that you can insert a word and it will bring up all the words that rhyme with it.  You can then decide what other rhyming word would best work in your poem.  Either way, just have fun with it.  Poems can be a great way to express yourself.
